Sandalwood is soft woody, oily creamy, velvety with slight sweet floral facet (main component santalol).

HOW IT WORKS?
Sandalwood contain high quantity of santalol alpha and santalol beta which enhance mental functioning by reducing cortisol level while significantly reducing systolic blood pressure to provide a calming effect. Hence sandalwood is perfect for calming and grounding the mind in moments of distress.
HOW IS IT EXTRACTED?
Sandalwood trees are harvested between 40 to 80 years old. Older trees contain better quality of oil which makes it rare and expensive. The powdered wood is first soaked in water for about 2 days before steam distillation.
