SCENT THERAPY

+Relaxing +Soothe Anxiety

HOW IT WORKS?

Lavender contains high levels of linalyl acetate and linalool which inhalation activates the GABAergic system in the brain, resulting in its anxiolytic effects which alleviate nervousness and depressive thoughts (Lizarraga-Valderrama, 2020). The scent of lavender has also been shown to maintain attention span during prolonged hours of tasks (Shimizu et al., 2008). Hence, the inhalation of lavender essential oil is a popular therapy to treat mild stress and anxiety.

DO YOU KNOW?

The aromatic flower is also known as the nightmare chaser. In olden days, people used to put lavender in pillows to enhance sleep.

HOW IS IT EXTRACTED?

Lavender is known as the “Blue gold” of Provence as more than 100kg of lavender is distilled for the yield of just 1-litre of lavender oil.

Its essential oil is obtained by distillation from the flower spikes.
