How is it extracted?
Cloves are dried flower buds of a evergreen clove and they are picked unopened while the flower buds are still pinkish. When the clove buds dry, they change into their characteristic brown.
The essential oil obtained via water distillation from the buds, while the oncrete, absolute, and oleoresin are produced from the bud in small quantities.
