At Scent Journer, we love our animals as much as you do. Our fragrances are formulated to be generally safe to use in the same living space with pets, however, please keep our products out of reach from pets (and children too!).

Please also use as directed according to our warning labels, do not use oils on pets as certain natural oils used in our fragrances can irritate the skin or be toxic to some animal breeds. Smaller animals can be more sensitive to their environments— please consult your veterinarian for the best advice regarding your furry friend. No prior knowledge is required. Our workshops are designed to cater to both beginners and enthusiasts.

Generally, all required materials will be provided. However, it's a good idea to wear comfortable clothing and refrain from wearing heavy fragrances to better appreciate the scents during the workshop.

Our workshops are not designed for children, but we’re happy to welcome children from the ages of 12+ who are accompanied by an adult also booked into the class.

Currently, our workshop guest capacity is 10 guests, though this is subject to change.

While we understand the appeal of creating a custom scent during our workshops, we prioritize providing you with the finest product experience. Creating a well-balanced and safe fragrance blend is a complex process that requires time and expertise. Scent aging is also a crucial factor – blends require around a week to mature properly.

If you were to blend your own scent on the spot, the aroma you take home might differ significantly due to this aging process. Moreover, ensuring compliance with IFRA regulations and precise dosage limits for each raw material demands meticulous attention and time.

Although we don't offer on-the-day blending, our workshops offer insights into the art of perfumery and guide you through crafting a product that showcases the essence of our fine fragrances.

To ensure consistency and safety, we provide specific materials for our workshops. Bringing outside fragrances or oils might compromise the quality and experience.

Absolutely, you'll leave with the fragrance you create during the workshop. However, keep in mind that fragrances often benefit from a short aging period.
